The CMBP includes 3 online weekend modules and features a China module which takes place over 3 weeks, with classes running from 9 am to 12 for the morning session and from 2 pm to 5 pm for the afternoon session. A mix of lectures, case studies, business simulations, and conversations with guest speakers will provide a full learning experience.

Where and when is the program held?

Participants in CMBP 2027 will be invited to join 3 introductory online sessions held over weekends in May, and the 14th edition of the program will feature an on-site training module in China from May 31 to June 18, 2027, across the cities of Haining, Hangzhou and Shanghai.

How do I apply for this program?

Online applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once an application has been received, it will undergo an initial evaluation, and shortlisted candidates may be contacted for an online interview. Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified as soon as possible. Please apply online using the “Application” sub-menu above.

Do I need to know Mandarin Chinese or have any particular qualifications to apply?

Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is not required. While full command of the English language is absolutely necessary, as the working language of the program is English, participants will be selected among those applicants who can make the strongest case as to their competent commitment to a business/managerial career with China at its core. Applicants will be evaluated according to their qualifications, motivation, and potential.

Do I need to have some knowledge of economics, business or management to apply?

No: the crash courses developed for CMBP have been designed especially to equip talented graduate students and recent graduates with essential competence and tools for an effective business career across the Euro-Mediterranean region and China. In the past editions participants have come from the following backgrounds:

What are the tuition fees?

Regular tuition fees are set at EUR 3,500 for applicants from the Steering Institutions*, at EUR 3,900 for applicants from Partner Institutions** and at EUR 4,500 for all other candidates.

An Early Bird Fee is offered to candidates applying by February 24, 2027: EUR 2,900 for candidates from Steering Institutions*, EUR 3,500 for candidates from Partner Institutions** and EUR 3,900 for all other candidates.

Fees cover tuition, teaching materials, accommodation in hotel facilities (selected and booked by the organization), meals, and transfers for days with activities scheduled as part of the Program.

Participants must cover all other costs individually, including round-trip flights, international health insurance (mandatory), and any expenses related to obtaining an entry visa for China (if required). Additional personal expenses - such as extra nights before or after the Program or optional tourist activities not included in the schedule - are not included.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the CMBP?

Yes. The certificate will be issued jointly by Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS) and the TOChina Hub.

The certificate is awarded only to participants who attend all CMBP modules and demonstrate satisfactory conduct throughout the program.

In addition, CMBP is accredited on the Bestr.it platform for the issuance of digital credentials. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will also be awarded an Open Badge.

Will I be provided with accommodation?

Fees cover tuition, teaching materials, transfers from Beijing to the other cities included in the program, and access to Peking University campuses across the three cities. Participants must take care individually of their visa application (requiring swift action upon confirmation of being admitted to the program), travel to and from China, accommodation, insurance, and any other expense.

Will there be on-site support there?

Do I need a visa?

Yes, unless you are a PRC citizen or you are already in mainland China at the start of the program. The CMBP Program Manager will offer timely advice to all selected participants in the month of June.
